FRA senior Taylor Bishop has been selected as a member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association's 2009 Composite Academic All-State Volleyball Team. Taylor's parents are Patrick and Joanie Bishop of Oscar. LHSAA Commissioner, Kenny Henderson, reported that Taylor was a member of the 2009 Composite Academic All State Volleyball team. The composite team includes forty-nine students from all five volleyball divisions. All of the students selected had a perfect 4.000 grade point average. Taylor was one of only two students named to this prestigious group from the eight districts included in Division V. Commissioner Henderson said, "Taylor has been honored by earning extremely high scholastic grades during the first three years in high school, and the LHSAA is extremely proud of her for being selected to this elite squad." The entire composite academic team will be honored during the annual LHSAA High SChool Sports Hall of Fame Banquet to be held in late January at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge. Coach Loriann Sellars praised Taylor for her academic achievements and her on-the-court honors in the sport of volleyball. Athletic Director, Tara Shamsie, said "All of us at FRA are proud of Taylor and her contributions to the Lady Gator Volleyball program."
