False River Academy

On Friday, August 22, 2008, Colby Webre graduated from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, 3rd Battalion, Lima Company, Platoon 3070.

Colby was the Platoon Honor Graduate and he also received the Marksmanship Award for the highest shooter of his platoon.

There were 7 platoons in the Company and Colby was again honored by receiving the Navy League Outstanding Recruit Award for being the Company Honor Graduate. He was meritorious promoted to the rank of Private First Class.

Colby is a graduate of False River Academy, Class of 2008. Proud parents and sister are Dennis, Cherri and Heather Webre of Maringouin. He is the grandson of Mayor Lawrence “Football” and Thelma Badeaux of Rosedale and Charles “Boo” and Lucille Webre of Maringouin.
