False River Academy

The Gator Booster Club is hosting their "Back to School Dinner" on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the FRA Lunchroom.  The menu is pastalaya, white beans, coleslaw, and roll.  The cost per dinner is $7.00.  Contact the office for more information.

The FRA Senior Beta Club has jumped on the eco-friendly band wagon. In an attempt to help preserve the environment, Beta members Marissa Guedry and Chelsea Gonzales began a recycling program last spring.  Seven recycling bins were purchased by the Beta Club and placed through out the elementary and high school buildings.

Students can visit www.homeworkLa.org to get help from a LIVE tutor. Tutors can help with a variety of subjects from elementary through high school subjects such as chemistry and math. Consider allowing your child access to this great homework aid!

Jena Tutt, a junior at False River Academy, recently returned from California where she attended a People to People Leadership Summit at U.C.L.A. Tutt, along with fellow delegates from around the country, participated in many activities designed to promote leadership skills. 

New History of Pointe Coupée Parish set for release, preorders welcome

The publishing house of Margaret Media, Inc. announced this week that preorders are now being accepted for local author Brian J. Costello’s latest book, A History of Pointe Coupée Parish, Louisiana, The Murray G. LeBeau Memorial Edition, set for release in approximately four weeks.
