False River Academy is pleased to announce the hiring of its new principal for the 2018- 2019 school year, Linda D'Amico. She is a resident of Morganza and a lifelong educator in Pointe Coupee Parish. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from LSU and later earned a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Southern University. Mrs. Linda also has a Master's Degree plus Thirty Graduate Hours. Before her brief retirement, she served as Superintendent of the Pointe Coupee School System. Mrs. Linda has taught various grade levels for 17 years. She has also served as assistant principal, principal, and supervisor in Pointe Coupee Parish. She currently serves as a part-time practitioner advisor for the Louisiana Resource Center for Educators and a teacher of gifted students in three parish schools. She is no stranger to False River Academy, having taught here in the early eighties. Her children attended False River Academy and her daughter is a graduate. Mrs. Linda will officially begin in April 2018, working alongside the current principal, Mrs. Ashley Allen, to ensure a smooth transition. False River Academy is looking forward to working with Mrs. Linda and is blessed to benefit from her knowledge and experience.
