English DE Class Attends Author Session

On September 25, Mrs. Kaki Campbell’s English 101 dual enrollment students attended a poetry reading and question and answer session with author Adrian Matejka. Matejka is the author of the book, The Big Smoke, about legendary boxer Jack Johnson. Matejka has received the Anifield-Wolf Book Award, and was a finalist for The National Book Award, Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, and Pulitzer Prize in Poetry. This event was part of Common Read Day at Southeastern University.
